Synergy is not just another city-building simulator, but a meditative journey to a distant planet, where humanity is trying to be reborn among the ruins of a forgotten civilization. Instead of the usual farms and sawmills, you will have to study alien flora: some plants produce edible fruits when carefully collected, others emit toxins when destroyed, and others - like that strange purple bush - may even be intelligent. Every decision here affects the fragile eco-balance: you can thoughtlessly cut down a forest for building materials, but then your colonists will have nowhere to hide from the scorching sun.
The gameplay combines the depth of genre classics like Pharaoh with a sci-fi setting. Water requires purification from toxins, expeditions to ruins bring artifacts for research, and seasonal climate changes sometimes dry up reservoirs, sometimes cause storms. The district system is especially impressive: by placing buildings within the radius of the central squares, you create unique boosts - the scientific district accelerates progress, and the cultural one improves the mood of residents. All this is presented through a stunning visual style, as if taken from the pages of comics: pastel colors, smooth animations and detailed frescoes in events.
